Before The Results
Some time have passed since my last post on resuming video gaming. I went on to play Yakuza Kiwami, as well as more blood tests.
The special blood test I had late last week is pretty interesting in that it makes me feel so tired for a whole week. It’s usually prescribed to people who are suspected of having Addison or Cushing, so I’m not sure how it’s also relevant to my current problems.
Either way, a subset of people experienced the same from that 1 hour synacthen test in a search online so I guess that’s to be expected. On the bright side, I found it much easier to fall asleep for the 1st time in a very long while.
I hope this isn’t a sign that something really bad is awaiting me as I visit to the hospital later in the afternoon today to hear what may be wrong or if other tests are needed.
Having said all that. My thoughts on Yakuza Kiwami (Yakuza 1) so far is that the story feels a lot more fast paced. Although I have read many spoilers and roughly knows what ahead in each chapter, seeing the actual cutscenes, especially those related to Nishikiyama, feels totally different. I’m glad I played Yakuza 0 & got to see how close they once were.
But perhaps the biggest feels I had is when you see the characters in Yakuza 0 appearing older in Yakuza Kiwami. The is most evident in the Pocket Racer Substories. A reminder to me that time continue to move forward as I wait…
Am I too optimistic?
